Londres, 1868. La Revolución Industrial da lugar a una era llena de innovaciones, transformando las vidas de millones de personas con tecnologías que antes se consideraron imposibles. Las oportunidades que se crearon durante esta etapa histórica, provocaron que muchas personas se trasladasen a Londres en masa en busca de este nuevo mundo, un mundo que no estaba ya controlado por reyes, emperadores, políticos o religiones, sino por un nuevo denominador común: el dinero.


Sin embargo, no todos pudieron beneficiarse por igual de aquel gran impulso. Pese a ser los auténticos motores del Imperio Británico, la situación de los trabajadores no podía considerarse otra cosa que una auténtica esclavitud legalizada, mientras una escasa y privilegiada minoría sacaba todo el provecho de ese trabajo. Las clases más bajas vivían empobrecidas y sus integrantes morían jóvenes, por eso se unieron para protestar bajo una nueva forma de asociación, las bandas, las cuales buscaron la clandestinidad como aliada en su lucha por sobrevivir. Una supervivencia que fue tal hasta que los Assassins se pusieron de su lado, revitalizando de paso un antiguo conflicto en el que estaban involucrados los dirigentes de Londres, una lucha que se perpetuará en la historia moderna desde la clandestinidad hasta llegar a lo más alto.

El juego nos presenta al Assassin Jacob Frye, quien con la ayuda de su hermana gemela Evie cambiará el destino de millones de personas en Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate.
